Rainwater Filtration Systems

Rainwater Filtration

Many of our clients rely on rainwater catchment for their everyday water requirements. The best thing about having rainwater as your main drinking water supply is the great taste! With that said, there are some important things to consider before using rainwater as drinking water in your home. Sediment, bacteria and organics are often present in rainwater. These become prevalent due to factors such as dust, dirt and bird excrement which are encountered through collection from sheds and home roofs. In other instances where water is being collected from a bore or ground water source, other problems in addition to sediment and bacteria can be present, such as water hardness, manganese and iron. If you would like to remove the nasties from your water, BON can help you select the right kind of filter for your needs.

We proudly partner with Australia’s leading filtration company Puretec to deliver safe drinking water to our clients. Puretec’s comprehensive range of products allow our clients to effectively and efficiently remove taste, odour, chemical and sediment from their water. Most importantly, Puretec products come with exceptional warranties and represent value for money.

Who installs the system?

Us or you… whichever your preference!

Our filtration solutions can be installed by the homeowner, but if you are time poor or don’t really have the inkling, we are more than happy to step in and help out.

The UV units require access to a power point and this needs to be considered when determining the location of the unit. We have a team of licensed electricians who can install power to the unit if needed.

We are always happy to quote you first so you know exactly how much our installation services will cost you.

How much ongoing maintenance does a household filtration product involve?

As a general rule, odour and sediment filter cartridges should be cleaned every 3 months and changed every six months. But who has the time and the memory power to keep track of these things.

That’s where we can help! We will send you the appropriate replacement filter cartridges directly to your door following the recommended maintenance requirements for your system. You can organise this by clicking here. (link to e-commerce)
